Windows 7 RC Build 7100
No errors or Blue Screens
No new software installed
Ran standard and thorough scan with AVAST
-Avast did throw 3 items into a "virus chest" but since I did a clean install, I don't have access to them anymore
Sorry for the long description. Not sure what information would be pertinent.
I have used Windows 7 for about about two months now with no problems. It was a clean install for a new system I built. A few days ago, I shut it down for the night and restarted it later on the same night because I forgot to do something. I noticed the system was extremely slow. I wanted to put music on my mp3 player and usually it takes 1-2 mintues, it took almost ten minutes. When I tried to access my folders, they would stop responding and I'd have to keep trying. I went ahead and shut it down for the night.
Afterwards, when I booted the computer up, I have to wait 30 mins to 1 hour before the system would run as normal. The last couple of times, it would be extremely slow indefinitely. I thought it might be a hardware issue, but my system worked as normal in safe mode. AVAST found 3 items and contained them, but that didn't solve the problem. It became worse after that. I wasn't able to perform any tasks after subsequent reboots. Safe Mode and Safe Mode with networking still worked fine.
I did a clean install of Windows 7 since I couldn't figure the problem out. The clean install was fine at first, but I think I'm having the same problems to a lesser degree. I've uninstalled AVAST just in case, but it has worked fine for me in the past. I don't understand what could've changed. I want to find out if there's a way to check if my system is running as it should be. I really don't know where to begin to look for the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Here's the Belarc output just in case it's needed :
