I have windows 7 ultimate. Yes they work, but my front jacks do not. My headphones are currently plugged in the rear green jack, realtek asked me what type of device they are and i selected headphones, however, windows still detects them as Speakers.

Front panel jacks don't work, only frontal usb clots do. I'm using rear jacks and i never had this problem on XP as i could select which type of device is plugged in. I installed the drivers you suggested, Selected Headphones, but windows still shows speakers.

Then it must be a clitch in Windows 7. My Girlfriend and I has the same issue but the audio works fine.

Look into your Audio settings software Might be Reltech audio and see if there is back and front jack controls.

In the RealTek Audio Manager, double click the Yellow Folder in the Right panel, and put a check box in Disable front panel jack detection. This will enable the Front Jacks. You then can put the headphones in the front and you can right click the front jack in that same panel and choose Connector Retasking to reassign it for headphones.
