Hi, you do not need the extra features of ultimate put your money into Ram, PSU, Video card, cooling, and CPU.

 

Get Win7 Professional 64-bit, that would be your best choice.

 

I am wondering if I should get Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate because it's for my new build soon and i only want 32-bit not 64-bit.

 

I agree with you GeekGirl Win7 Pro 64-bit is a good choice but it needs more RAM to run the OS but I just want 32-bit as I said.

 

It would be best if you research up all the versions and make the choice that suits you as you have to remember, there is no such thing as one size fits all. Above, you mentioned about RAM but if you have 4 gig and above then 64 bit would be better though if you have up to 4 gig (both are good for 4 gig) then go for 32 bit.

 

Is there really a difference between Win7 Ultimate and Home Premium cause they both give the same thing but is the speed of loading up the OS faster?

 

I look into for a more faster OS to load up and works smoothly.

Thanks for the link, Tyree! It helped me make up my mind. It's Ultimate for me. I can't use Professional because it's not compatible with my TV Tuner card. I like the Ultimate's ability to run in XP compatible mode, and the extra security features could be useful.

You can also use XP Mode in Professional. Also, with 64-bit you can utilize more RAM and for example the mobo I use in my builds can max out to 16GB.
Personally I think your wasting $$ where you could be spending it on a better video card or more RAM...only my .02
