wierd problems with printing

I cannot print from programs which has been opened by other program to view documents ( for now .pdf : adobe acrobat reader / foxit and .htm : firefox / chrome ). Program says i "do not have printers installed". However if i have viewer opened before some program call it to view a document i can print without any problems. Also i do not have any problems with printing if i open file from disk.

i have windows 7 x64 pro sp1

sorry for bad english if occurred

Re: wierd problems with printing

Make sure the printer you're using is set as the default printer. Also are the Printer Drivers up to date?

Re: wierd problems with printing

the problem is there is no printer to choose from - when hitting print... in menu next window is with information about "no printers installed" instead of choose printer"

i investigated problem further :
program is running in 32 bit mode ( ex. openerp-client.exe ) and calling child process which can be kind of software that can print ( notepad, paint, adobe etc. ). child process can not print because it report there is no printer installed in the system. it does not matter if it is set to compatibility mode or run with admin privileges or as admin user. However ( and this is fun part :) ), not on every computer it is happening.

Re: wierd problems with printing

problem has been solved

i forgot to mention i have comodo antivirus ( modules : av , defence+ , sandbox )

if i turn off sandbox everything is working fine
( however it should not have any impact on applications that have been marked as safe - but i think this is problem for comodo forum and not here ... )

thanks

Re: wierd problems with printing

Try reinstalling printer. Also, Device Manager>Ports>LPT1>Properties>Driver>Update Driver
