After finally finding a controller adapter with which to use my wireless Xbox 360 controller on my PC, I can't get Windows Vista 32bit to recognize it.
When I plug the USB dongle it comes up as an unknown device that a wizard tries and fails to find drivers for. I downloaded the latest driver software for this device straight from Microsoft and I still can't get it to work, even when I tell the wizard to look in the specific folder for the drivers it can't find them.
One thing to note: the Microsoft download is an application that is to be installed - not actual driver files like you might get elsewhere.
