Greetings, all!
It's been a while since my last post, and whether that's credit to Windows, we shall soon see.
I recently bought an HP Pavilion a1710n from Best Buy, which came with a 17" flat panel display. For the most part, it serves well for the kids and their Internet, but when I use educational software backwardly compatible with XP, 98, 95, etc., (i.e. JumpStart, School Zone Publishing), I guess the default display setting on the software is 640x480, but instead of expanding to the full size of the screen, each program occupies only the center of the screen at about a quarter the screen size. Does anybody know how to reset display parameters so that when a program defaults to a setting other than the screen's defaults, the program will expand to use the full screen size? I know that's a a strange way to word a question, but I can't think of another way to explain the problem.
Thank you for your consideration.
