Vista has made my head spin...

Well after 10 hours of fighting with vista i am completely stumped! My new computer wont seem to detect my hard drive when i go to install vista! (it finds it just fine in bios...) I cant even format it for some odd reason it tells me the disk is right protected and to make sure it is connect properly (It is) I am running the following spec's with my computer i am completely stumped guys any help would be great (I Got the drivers but they don't seem to work....i can't even boot to doss off the hard drive, Maybe its corrupt?)

And yes this is a FRESH install! Any Driver suggestions or ways around this would make my week!

No i set it to Achi (or what ever) however, over the day i have tried all the settings with no luck at all!:4-dontkno

*Edit a hammer is getting more and more tempting with this thing.....*

whan you enter the sata listing what options are in the dropdown box

Tried that it doesnt work still.

*yup tried again i get

Windows can't format c:\

Check to see that the disk and drive are connected (They are) make sure its not read only (its a HD...)

you usually see this when trying to format the windows drive from within windows

[Windows can't format c:\]

clear the drive with killdisk

then see if it will format and install
