I am using AVG free Anti-Virus on mine. It installed no problem and runs fast. Time will tell if it protects well.
I have NIS 2007 on my XP desktop and licenses for 2 more computers but I have decided not to put it on my new laptop. It is a royal PITA to install, creates incompatibilites with some of my network devices (the ad-blocker treats some IP camera/webserver interface pages and buttons as ad banners and there is no way to configure around this), and it *really* bogs down computer startups.
NOD32 here, good stuff, not intrusive, and small footprint. In XP I ran AVG free for a couple years, and Avast!, both very good.
