USB/CD/Camera Drivers not working

I recently swapped hard drives from one laptop to another. Both of them ran Windows 7. I figured there'd be some random problems, but I didn't see the drivers never being able to work. I've tried the fix it things on microsoft, I've tried downloading drivers from Gateway but none seems to work. I REALLY don't want to re-image because I have programs that I no longer have access to.

Its a Gateway with an intel core, 320 gb hd, 4mb ram.
The 320 gb hd is coming from an HP Pavilion dv4 which was an amd I think.
Both computers had legit Windows 7 installations.

CD's don't register, the camera doesn't work, the ethernet thing says its not installed and the USB drives don't work. No power, nothing. During each attempt to install, it says installation failed or unsuccessful.

Please help.

Quick update..... its a Vision AMD in the HP

and the USB drive WILL supply power to the laptop cooling thing I put it on.

different machine different hardware different drivers your os is looking for the correct drivers you can't just swap hardrives even running a repair may not help

So you're saying I'm.... screwed? How can I get the stuff off of this hard drive so I can put it on my other one? This sucks

Put the drive back in the original pc. Backup all data to thumb drives or external drives.

Put the hdd back in the other pc and reinstall Windows (Clean install).
