i had another administrator user account pop up about a week ago and I cant delete it. I read that win7 has one that you can enable/disable but I am not familiar enuf with win7 to find it.. HELP ANYONE:banghead:
I think that was culprid. I went thru routine and it put password protect on the user
acct I have been usingall along...so now how do I get rid of that
as stated before if the jdh account is the hidden admin account then you can not delete it you can only hide it from coming up. so folow the link in post 2 to hide the account.
The Hidden Administrator account would just be called Administrator, unless it was renamed.If you have a second administrator account you want to remove that is not the hidden administrator other then your admin account, login as your admin user account jerry, and to go Start/Search type lusrmgr.msc and press enter click the Users folder, right click the account jdh that you want to remove and choose Delete. Do NOT delete the (hidden) Built in Administrator account
Go to Start/Search and type netplwiz, right click the netplwiz results and Run As Administrator. Make sure the check box for Users Must Enter a User Name and Password to use this computer is checked. Highlight the user name you want to remove and press Remove.
Hi, go to start search and type:- cmd right click on the returned cmd.exe and select "run as administrator" at the prompt copy paste all below in red:-
