I've owned my Acer Aspire 3820TG for one and a half years now, and I think it's great, except for one problem. I can't use my microphone at all. I think the problem started in the middle of August. Whenever I open an application that uses my microphone (Skype, online games, sound recorder etc.), my computer slows to a crawl.
I thought I could be smart about this. I disabled my sound driver (Realtek HD Audio) and reopened all these applications I mentioned. There was no problem at all, so obviously the problem was that sound driver. I went to Acer's website, downloaded the driver and uninstalled the old one. Yet, even after reinstalling, I still have the same problem. Does anyone know what it could be?
