Sony vaio vgn-cr35g help

My roommate upgraded his Sony vaio vgn-cr35g to windows 7, which he purchased in china, and i went to the asian support site to get the drivers to update for his camera and card reader, as they do not work after the upgrade. I proceeded to install them and as the installation continues i get the message, failure to update drivers. any help?

Were the drivers win 7 or older? If they were older they need to be installed in "compatibility mode" to do that right click the installer>properties>compatibility mode>chose OS
