[SOLVED] Windows Live Mail account manual setup

Hello,

I have been attempting to link all of my emails on windows live mail lately and it looked easy for a while. It was until I had to add my Cogeco account to it. The system keeps telling me, when I attempt to run a test message, that it can't locate the incoming and outgoing mail servers. I have even taken the servers declared on their personal website and they do not work.. Here are my current server settings:

incoming mail (POP3): pop.cgocable.ca (initially it was "pop.cogeco.ca")
outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.cgocable.ca (initially it was "smtp.cogeco.ca")
E-mail username: **********

I have heard of some people checking the box where it says, "my server requires authentication" and they have had some success. I have tried this as well but they require me to re-enter the password and it will not even accept it! I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Try cgocable support site - I can't get past their logon screen to view support info on email setup -

Which email software can I use ?

Yeah apparently the incoming server is correct on the website. I can receive emails, but I cannot send them (SMTP is incorrect)..

So the POP3 server is what it was initially, but the SMTP is not the initial or the current setting.. does anybody have experience linking email accounts using windows live mail?

nvm i have it figured out now:

POP3 server: pop.cogeco.ca
SMTP server: smtp.cogeco.ca

the email username does NOT include the domain name, and "my server requires authentication is NOT checked". That should fix it.
