should I install Windows Live Essentials 2011

I see this Windows Live Essentials 2011 is listed as an important update. It goes on to list all the things it will do including the bing bar.

I do not want a bing bar and I am wondering if I want any of the stuff listed for the Windows Live Essentials 2011.

Is three a good reason to install this update and if it is installed is it easy to remove bing and any other thinks I do not require like silverlight?

Re: should I install Windows Live Essentials 2011

I spoke to Microsoft Canada on this issue and they state that if I have security essential installed i do not require installation of Windows Live Essentials 2011.

Is this the case?

Windows Live essentials contains

Windows Messenger
Windows Live Photo Gallery
Windows Live Movie Maker
Windows Live Mail
Windows Live Mesh
Windows Live Writer
You can select what to install when you down load it

These are add-on applications that have nothing to do with Microsoft Security Essentials, which is an antimalware program.
