I have a sony vaio laptop VGN-FW11M.When I switch on the screen is normal ,however,as soon as I go into an application the screen developes a marked red colour cast. The OS is Windows7.The version is an upgrade which has worked perfectly for sometime despite a short period about a year ago which resolved itself spontaneously from the same problem.I have tried the vaio hardware diagnostics which are normal.Has anyone any suggestions?

Thank you,

Redface

Hi and welcome to TSF try hooking it up to a external monitor and see if the problem replicates itself

I'm pretty sure that my 5-year-old laptop screen has burnt out. I've checked the function key that switches between laptop display and the display for another monitor, to no avail. I have a working system, when I hold a flashlight to the screen it's simply extremely dim. (I did however just get...
