Hi,
I hope that this is the right forum to post my issue.
On a 32b machine running windows7 I installed RealVNC, both the viewer and server. The viewer works just fine, however I cannot access the server from any machine in my local network (192.168.2.xxx). The problem is that in the client machine it times out without giving me any message. The windows firewall in the server machine already is set up to allow the exception for realvnc server . Pinging on this server machine returns the packets properly. I'm also running the free edition of Avast. I tried disabling the shielding on Avast and the situation didn't change. However when I disabled the windows firewall, it comes back immediately with the message "connection refused" or something like that.
In the past, I had RealVNC running on a XP machine and it worked just fine. Can someone suggest something to help me?
Many thanks in advance.
Daniel
