I've been getting this error message a whole lot, recently:

"The ordinal 120 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll."

It pops up whenever I start up my PC, open IE, open the Control Panel, download a new program, etc. All I know is that it's related to IE and other internet applications. I have windows Vista on a Toshiba tablet PC.

I've searched online and found no answers. I've tried deleting it and replacing it but I can't. Any help, please?

First try running SFC.EXE /SCANNOW from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt.

Next, open up an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type (without the quotes) "regsvr32 iertutil.dll" (I got an error when doing this - but it said it was registered).

If that doesn't fix it -
- update to IE8
- if IE8 is installed, uninstall it ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700 ), then reinstall it.

For the SFC scan thing, it detected nothing wrong.

For the second part, I got this message:

And I did uninstall and reinstall IE8 but the problem is still there.

?System Restore to a point before it started to happen?
?A repair install of Windows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88...all-vista.html
?A wipe and reinstall of Windows?
