After playing Empire and loving it, I have really been looking forward to getting stuck in to this title. However after installing with no porblems I started the main campaign and noticed the screen was not centred. I adjusted the screen resolution and changed the graphics to high. The game then crashed and after a few more attempts I uninstalled and tried again. Now I can't even reach the main menu screen. The screen turns black and occasionally red....depending on what mood it is in I guess. I have played other titles such as Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 2 on this PC and had no issues at all. It's a Dell Studio 540, 4 Gigs of RAM, 1028mb graphics card and a Intel Core (TM) 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.5GHz. I built this PC for gaming and would expect it to be able to handle this game's requirements, however here I am at 10pm on a Friday night, close to tears, cursing Sega and opening my 3rd bottle of German beer and I haven't so much as invaded one small country. Please put me out of my misery. Did I just blow €22.99 on a dream? :4-dontkno

News just in:

Just tried to play Empire Total War and the same story. I have played Empire before and never had any trouble, but now I am having the same problems that I am having with Napoleon. I get to the menu, start a campaign. It starts loading and then bam! nothing. Obviously my PC is capable of running this game. Any help greatly appreciated.
