hello! this afternoon i turned on my computer and my mouse wasnt working properly. it still clicks but cursor wont move.
i tried plugging in a spare mouse i had but the problem continued, so no, they're not broken.
i tried unninstaling mouse drivers but it was no use.
its worth mentioning i have a wacom intuos and used it right before i turned the computer off this morning.
Go to Start/Search and type devmgmt.msc, Right click the devmgmt results and Run As Administrator. In the Elevated Device Manager, are there any yellow flags? If so, right click them and Uninstall them. Unplug the Mouse from the USB port on the computer. If you still have the Wacoam Tablet plugged in, Under Human Interface Device, if the Wacom tablet is listed, right click it and Uninstall it. Now unplug the Wacom tablet. Now restart the computer. When the computer finishes booting, plug in the USB cable for the mouse into a different USB port. New Hardware will be found and the mouse should now work.
If you want, load the driver for the Wacom tablet from the install CD or download, and then, plug in the Wacom tablet.
Go to Start/Search and type devmgmt.msc, Right click the devmgmt results and Run As Administrator. In the Elevated Device Manager, are there any yellow flags?
You didn't answer this question?
Are you still using the Wacom Tablet? Did you install an updated driver for the tablet?
Go to Start/Search and type CMD, Right click the CMD results and Run As Administrator. In the Elevated Command Prompt type SFC /scannow and press enter. This will replace any missing system Files.
alright. did that, restarted computer. mouse worked for about 30 seconds and stopped working again.
2 minutes later that happened again. now it's moving horizontal only.
also didnt work ):
buuut
i plugged in the spare mouse i had AGAIN and it worked
when i plug in the one i want to use it says windows didnt recognize it or/and there are driver issues
oh man....
It sounds like the mouse you want to use has gone bad, if any other mouse you use works.
