Do you have 32 bit or 64 bit Vista Home Premium? (press WinKey and Pause/Break to find out)
Did you download the 32 bit or the 64 bit version of the drivers (you must use the one that matches the OS)
Have you updated all other drivers on your system?
Have you installed Service Pack 2?
Have you checked the requirements for installation on the HP website?
Have you checked the ALERTS in the right hand column of the driver download page?
Did you install the Full Feature software and driver, AND the 2 CRITICAL Updates?

Yes I've download all the version of the driver.
Yes I've updated all the drivers.
I've already installed Service Pack 2 before I tried installing it.
Yes, I've checked all the requirements and the alerts. I've tried all of them and it still had the error.
Yes I even tried installing the full feature and the two critical updates.

 

Hi, I have an E-Machine running a Vista Home Premium SP1.

I've already installed Service Pack 2

Which is it?

Uninstall whatever you've installed for the printer.
Then install the 32 bit Vista version from the HP website.
If it still doesn't work, then return the printer for another one.
