Extremely Slow Computer All of a Sudden

Hi,
I just made my account today out of complete frustration with my computer. I honestly can't figure out what happened. The last thing I did was I installed an SDK for the Qt framework because of a club and my school. I need this because we will be making an app for Android. I run CCleaner about once a day (the cleaner and the registry cleaner although today after major research I have been seeing that you shouldn't clean your registry out). I have AT&T Internet Security Suite Powered by McAfee. I have run multiple Full System Scans as well as Full Scans on Malware Antimalwarebytes. My CPU usage isn't at 100% or anything, my computer is just really slow all of a sudden. I did try to defrag my hardrive last night and when I woke up I realized my computer was off. I don't know if my Dad did it or what although I doubt he did. I would really love to solve this problem as this is my only computer and I need it for school and I can't afford a new one.
Thanks!

Start>Run (type) "msconfig" and turn off all non-MS Services and all Startups. Then C:\ (right-click) "properties">"Tools" and schedule a chkdsk to run at next reboot. Then reboot.

Does chkdsk find & fix errors? Does it still run slow? Report results.
