Windows 7 x64

I am consistently seeing the following error in the event log each time the system boots:

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
TPkd

Details, such as they are:

- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
- <System>
<Provider Name="Service Control Manager" Guid="{555908d1-a6d7-4695-8e1e-26931d2012f4}" EventSourceName="Service Control Manager" />

</System>

<Data Name="param1">TPkd</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>

I know that TPkd is part of Interlok/Pace Anti-Piracy stuff however I know of no software installed on my system that utilizes this. There is a copy TPkd.sys in \SysWOW64\Drivers folder. I can't locate a copy anywhere else. I also can't locate what might be trying to load this at boot time ... no entry in autoruns, registry, etc. includes a reference to TPkd.

This appears to have been going on for some time. I discovered it while tracking down a different issue. As far as I can tell, nothing is "broken" ... but I can't be certain. In any case, an error on EVERY boot disturbs me.

Any suggestions as to where I might look to next?

Thanks in advance...

VictorZ

Thanks in advance...
