Copying programs from one laptop to another laptop

Hi,

I have an old laptop with Window 7 which has all programs I am using. I am getting a new laptop.

My question is what folder I need to copy from old laptop so that I do not need to install the programs in the new laptop.

Any additional details or suggestion are appreciated. Apart from what folder if I need to do anything else

You will have to install all your applications to the new laptop. There is no reasonable alternative to this. The only exceptions are simple programs that need no installation and there aren't many of those.

copy all program from "C:\Windows\Installer" not all will be/work for your new computer. all of the installer files are coded by number but if you right clik and go to properties the detail tab; read the title and author

edit: try and copy the large files only the small ones can esayly be downloaded without any stress
