Changed motherboards (same vendor) now a bluescreen on Vista x64.. repairs failed..

I'm guessing with Vista this is obvious.. that ill have to just do a wiping of the HDD and start from scratch (really dont want to)..

I swapped out Asus motherboards for a newer model.. now i get a bluescreen (flashes and reboots, i'm sure its a boot issue error)..

I tried the Vista x64 CD repair option but no luck..

Am i right in thinking there is no way around this?
