When I insert a CD or DVD into TSSTcorpCD/DVDW TS-H6532 I get the following message indicating non-recognition by WinVista:

Insert a disc into drive R:

I have tried the following and all have failed:
Registry, delete LowerFilters and HighFilters
BIOS OK
Replace LowerFilters value with PxHelp20 DEADLY  Registry rollback required
Device Mgr: uninstall/reinstall driver
Audio devices are working

Please help ME. If you want details on the routine checks for audio output I did I'll be glad to post them.

Is this a Laptop or a Desktop? You can easily replace the optical (CD/DVD) rom drive in just about any Windows computer. You can find a replacement part on Ebay or Amazon for way less then an external DVD drive. There are videos on YouTube showing you how.
