I can't play any videos anywhere and some images do not display....On you Tube..just a black screen appears with "error occurred try back later..on others just a white screen appears....

Which browser are you using? Have you tried different browsers such as IE, Firefox and Chrome?
If it works in other browsers apart from the usual one you use, try returning to default settings in your main browser and then restart it... and see if that works.
Also, I'm not sure if it's applicable but check the that you have the latest flash player and Java installed.

in fact, I don't even have it installed - one less risk to update and worry about.
