Can't install software, Help!

Hi, a few weeks ago i installed the demo version of Addictive drums
then decided to uninstalled it. Now i want to install it again but i can't
when i try to install it i get this error message: [I][COLOR="Blue"] A previous installation of addictive drums has been found. This installation needs to be removed before you can go on with the new installation.

Then when i click OK this is what i get: The following file does not exist or is not a valid uninstallation log file.
C:\Program files\XLN Audio\Addictive Drums Demo\uninstal.log

I have no idea what to do here, i don't have any files left from the previous demo version.

I looked up the Addictive Drums software and found their website -

XLN Audio Addictive Drums

1. Are you trying to load v1.1.1 or the trial version?
2. Have you ever installed the trial version (I do not know the version number -see website link)?
3. If no - which version did you install/uninstall prior to this?

My theory is that the trial version was installed. Too often, trialware and freeware use a "file not found" exception as the reason that their software will not uninstall. This allows their software to remain active in your system, gather information and data then transmit said data to their websites. This is done for everything from performance data to some personal habit data. It is literally uninstallable without going into system's registry and deleting all keys associated with the product. Welcome to the world of trial offers and freeware.

Please forward the version numbers for the software and I'll see what I can find out as some companies do offer a system cleaner for their specific product(s).

Hey ,
No i'm not installing the 1.1.1 version, i,m trying to install de demo .
And the version i installed few weeks ago was the demo as well.
I don't know the version # for the demo, i know the old version was 1.0 but i don't know if thats the same for the demo...don't see it on the website.

they put something in the registry to stop you reinstalling demo's continuosly to get around buying the programe
we cannot help with this under the forum rules
