cant find SuperFetch?

don't see it anywhere ,i want to disable it because i don't need it and i don't want my hard drive on 24-7

im running vista home premium SP1

Hi, you now know how to disable it, and you say you do not need it, I fear you do not know why you do not need it? Superfetch will make apps run faster it will use memory (thats what memory is for) putting it simply disabling superfetch is not recommended.

Yeah i know what it does ,it one of the main keys that make's vista faster than xp but i have a 6 year old asus xp machine with nothing but a good motherboard and possessor it's plenty fast without all that jazz. I do think i will need it maybe in the near future when i progress more in computers but for now it's useless for my habits. To get use out of it you would need to be a extreme multi tasking with 4G ram or more and it's not good for game's.

It burn's out hard drive's because it's almost always in use , a sec or 2 isn't much of a big difference for me.
