I used this forum to resolve a problem with deleting .3gp files in Vista. I also could not open these files.
As suggsted, I was able to delete some of these files while operating in safe mode. However, I was only able to delete all of the .3gp files after I downloaded and used the "Unlocker" application.
What I want to add is that before I noticed the problem with deleting the .3gp files I was consistently getting "Windows Explorer" failures.
Any thime I opened a folder that contained any of the affected .3gp files, the address bar for the window showed continuous activity that never ended. Then I would get Windows Explorer failures.
What was odd is that some of the .3gp files were OK and the videos were fine.
