So my power supply crapped out today. I'm not too knowledgeable with them so I was looking for some advice. I've got an rosewill rg430-2 and I'm looking for something similar or a little better. Any suggestions?
Yes that's the one. Ummm I have 2 500gb western digitals. Geforce 8600 gtx. Dual bore processor. 2.6 ghz amd. One disk drive. I'm pretty sure its a dvd burner lol. 4 gbs of ram (2 2gb sticks) any other specs needed?
Its not surprising your PSU failed for one it was underpowered for the card you are using (Nvid recommends 450W) plus we like to add 30% so your really wanting to replace it with a 600W+
I can reccomend you replace it with any of theese
