I have a Dell Inspiron 570. I'm looking to upgrade the video card which means upgrading the power supply. Looking for any advice/directions for this project. Thanks in advance.
When it comes to Power Supplies, "Seasonic" and "XFX" are pretty good brands. Make sure the PSU you're going to get is compatible with your computer case.
We need to know the specific GPU you are considering to recommend a particular PSU.
SeaSonic-XFX-are not "pretty good brands", they are top quality PSU's as are the Antec HCG series.
Rule of thumb for power requirements-add 30% to the GPU's minimum recommended power.
You would want to be at 550W with a good quality PSU for the GTX770.
OEM cases can be tight inside so I would recommend measuring before purchasing the new GPU.
