I am looking to build a computer and i am totally lost on where i need to start but anyway about the power supply, i think that there are different sizes and dif. specs but i just dont know which one to buy that will fit a cheap case.
Andy, after you read the post and link provided by Speedster, then list the specs of your rig and we can talk about what you need for a power supply. By then, you will have some general idea what you need, but we can be specific when we see your specs.
The thing is im looking to build one so i have no idea where to start and what to buy first so i see cases from www.xoxide.com and i like a couple but then when i say add power supply i get a feeling a $24 added power supply is **** you know?
You do need a decent power supply, what CPU, Motherboard, Video card are you looking at...that should help. No, $24 won't even begin to cut it in a power supply.
Yeah i know i was looking at a like $100 power supply but for the CPU and motherboards im lost too i jus need sum1 to ask like what i should get and what is a good deal. for sum reason im an intel person and think Athalon processors are crap but idk i have heard athalon processors are coming back.
I would start off by going to mwave.com / click on refurbished / then click on power supplies and cases
I would get the thermaltake toughpower 650or 700 or 750 watt any one of those would due nicely >>>> first class and saves alot of money
they only have a 15 warranty, but these things are an either work or dont work right outta the box >>>> so far I havent been disappointed with any mwave refrub parts and I buy alot of them >>>> but their is risk all parts I have bought from the refurb have been new in retail boxes!
for a case get the coolermaster centurion for about $35.00 maybe even LESS great case I sell lots of them in my workstation builds when customers dont have money to throw around
of course you dont have the budget for monitor / keyboard / mouse and such ?????
if you need that stuff too, then we will need to go digging into the lower tier parts makers ?????
