Computer won't start after installing RAM

I currently have a 2 GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM installed on DIMM slot 1 of my mobo.
I wanted to upgrade to 8 GB so I bought 2x 4GB DDR3 1333 mhz RAM
My problem is, the 2 new RAMs only work in DIMM slot 2, but not on the 1st one.
If I insert either RAM on the DIMM slot 1, my computer wont start.
I dont think these are bad RAM since both are working on the 2nd slot.

Is it a DIMM slot problem? If it is, how come the 2 GB works on the first slot?

my Mobo is Intel DH61WW
Intel® Desktop Board DH61WW

my new RAM is Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G
Kingston Technology Company - Kingston Memory Search - Search Results for: KVR1333D3N9/4G

Thanks

your m/b is not listed on the compatible list on the kingston site

it may just mean it just was not tested with the m/b

i stopped using kingston over the same problem when they refused a rma on it

can you get the supplier to change it for a quality brand
