[SOLVED] Multiple External Hard Drives Problem

I've recently bought a second external hard drive, a 3TB WD My Book Essential. And my first ext. hdd is the exact same make and model, and yet when I have both of them plugged in at the same time I can only see one of them in my computer. In device manager under drives and under the WD branch, it says there are two hard drives. Yet I can only see one in my computer.
I have them both plugged in to a 7-Port Powered Desktop HUB, as well as a third external hardrive which does show up. I have tried renaming the hard drives, plugging in one first then the other but the second one never shows up. Help Please :/

Re: Multiple External Hard Drives Problem

After further investigation, I've come to find that its a signature collision after examining it through disk manager. Can anyone help me resolve this problem?

Re: Multiple External Hard Drives Problem

are both drives a clone of each other ? Thats the only way the signature could be the same if yes one of the drives has to change ie format or wipe etc Not sure what your goal is with this issue
