hello all. i installed a second hdd in my pc to be used as storage. i did not put any OS on it. i left Windows my old hdd. ever since i installed the new hdd though, and i boot up my pc, it always tries to boot from the new drive instead of the old one. the only way i can get it to boot from the old drive is to either go into the boot menu and select it. i went into the BIOS and set the old drive as Boot Option 1, making sure to save it when i exit, but Boot Option 1 always reverts back to the new drive. i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.

my old hdd is a 372GB Seagate ST3400620AS ATA Device (SATA). my new hdd is a 931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 ATA Device (SATA). my motherboard is a Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. H77-DS3H, and i am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1.
