constant disk read/disk write errors across two hard drives

I had an Intel SSD I bought in 2012 that started giving me "a disk read error has occured" when attempting to boot to windows. I did a memory check to test for faulty memory, that came up clean. I know SSD's usually have a much lower life cycle that HDDs so I bought a new one. That one originally worked fine then I started getting disk read errors about once every 10 times I started Windows. Now I get disk write errors on Steam.

My system specs:
3960x on a DX79SI board with 16gb ddr3 ram running windows 7 x64. My original hard drive was an Intel 520 series 240gb and this one is a OCZ TRION150 480GB.

Thanks in advance

Check the SATA Data cable and Power Plug on the SSD, that is it plugged in tight. Check that the Data cable is in Tight to the motherboard.
Try a different SATA Cable, Try a different Power Plug from the PSU. Try a different SATA port on the motherboard.
