Hey sorry to reply to your last msg late...I was busy. I was running Window XP home edition, M/board is Intel 1.2Mhz, RAM is DDR2 512M, supply supply is 300 Watt.
I cant go into my bios to get you the other listings since the system cannot boot. I removed the ram, dvd, cd rom, ram into another system and they worked fine. Before I finally experience this problem from the system that didn't, the fan didn't run, nothing happend when I pressed boot butten but when I removed RAM and put it back, it starts running but nothing shows on the monitor.
Please, kindly give me the general cause/s of this problem and what I must do to fix the system.
Hey bro, thanks for trying to help me immediately I have posted my system's problem. But guess what? The system stared working fine last saturday......guess what happened to the system??? Hey, I did a thorough trubleshooting and on saturday I finaly solved the problem.....the problem was the processor, some pins were bend and as a result the system was dead! But I traight them and reconnect my cables and the system beep and working fine.....I was so glad.....The system had given me stress for over 1 week!
But there is other thing I will also like to tell you, I SCAN A SYSTEM AND THE ANTIVIRUS DETECTED SOME VIRUSES AND I DELETED THEM BUT AFTER THIS ACTION THE ICONS ON THE DESKTOP DISAPPEAR IMMEDIATELY, I TRIED TO REBOOT BUT NOW KEPT SHUTTING DOWN.....I BOOT TO SAFE MODE AND LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION BUT STILL LOGGING ME OFF AFTER ENTERING MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD........SO TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, I DID A CLEAN INSTALLATIONS, PLEASE, IS THIS A RIGHT STEP TO TAKE? OR IS THERE ANY OTHER MEANS TO GET THE SYSTEM RUNNING FINE AGAIN WITHOUT FORMATTING AND RELOADING IT?
