[SOLVED] emachines T5234 motherboard beep codes

I'm looking for the beep codes for my friends emachines T5234 motherboard, it's been having some issues booting and recently gave out a beep code. It started up fine after he turned it off and started it again, but I want to be carfule and find out what it meant.

Google Beep Codes or post the beeps and the sequence you hear.

I've tried google but I can't find them, I've even tried the Emachines site and they don't have them. The sequence is 5 short beeps, I hope that helps.

There is no official standard for these codes due to the many brands of BIOS that are out there. To decode the meaning of your computer POST beep codes you need to know your computer's BIOS manufacturer (AMI, Phoenix, Award, etc). You should see this displayed on-screen while your computer during POST.

That being said, five short could be an AMI code meaning a processor failure/error. Are you overclocking?

5 Beeps can refer to Mobo problems. A failing CPU can be the source.
