regarding video cards and sound cards

i have posted this problem in dis section,as it is regarding both the cards.sorry if i hav done any mistake..
i want to know that-1) if i have an inbuilt graphics card,can i install another graphics card
2)if i have a existing graphics card(not inbuilt),can i attach another one to the motherboard.
3)the same problem is with the sound card also..
thanks in advance..

The answer will depend on the motherboard you have, most boards will support a discrete video card but not all, and then there is type of slot available PCI, AGP, PCIe x16.

Sound cards are generally not needed given the good quality of onboard sound on newer Mobo's.
