I currently have a Celeron 420 @ 1.6 GHz, Stock, no OC, and using stock HSF/Thermal Paste. This celly is more than enough for my basic tasks, except transcoding videos with NeroVision 4 and burning them to DVD. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU to the E4500 @ 2.2GHz and upgrading from 1gb to 2gb of ddr2-667 ram. How much of a performance increase can I expect in video encoding. it currently takes my celly about 2 hours - 2 hrs 40 mins to encode and burn 120 mins worth of podcast mp4 vids...I've also considered the E2200 @ 2.2GHz to save some $$... I might OC a little, but I have a cheap MOBO (ECS 671T-M) and cheap Corsair ValueSelect ram, so i wont be able to push it very much, because the only thing I can change is the FSB in the bios, no settings for ram timings, or vcore... vcore is automaticly controlled w/ this board... go figure...comments are welcome
