boot order
hope this is the correct section
presario f700
new hd so there is nothing in it.
i put in the vista disk and nothing happens just says no os found.
so i changed the boot order. so now the dvd.cd rom is at the top of the list, press f10 to save changes.
the computer restarts and goes back to the screen that says no os found.
so i restart the computer press f9 for boot order and its showing notebook hd.
so im not sure whats going on with this.

Re: boot order
tell about the vista disk, is it a fullversion or upgrade version, is it from another computer or did it come with that computer? Is it a copy or burnt disk

Re: boot order
Try your Vista disc in another PC to be certain it is OK.
Try another bootable disc in your PC.

Re: boot order
Was the optiarc optical disc not listed as one of the options in the F9 boot options?
