Sony PSP 1000 Has gone bezerk!!!

Hi

I have just replaced the UMD and replaced the shell. All is ok until I go to input my routers password and the cursor goes bezerk, moving fro, right to left on it's own. It works fine when scrolling through menu options. It also goes mad when a game loads, just scrolling continuously up through the game menus. I have managed to install fw 5.03 using a 4gb micro sdhc card in an adapter, but it isn't a magic gate card. I have a short video of the problem I can send if anyone could please help?!?!?..........

Hi Redeye

Many thanks for the reply! I'm not sure exactly, I just downloaded it from the net. It's 5.03, but how would I find out exactly what it is? I have uploaded a short video of the fault to youtube...here is the link to show you the problem:

Hope this helps??

Many thanks

Rik

Hey mate,

I could be some dust or dirt in the joystick perhaps.

Try giving it a blow up (it works for gameboy games )

Re: Sony PSP 1000 Has gone bezerk!!!

Hi,

I suggest to reinstall the firmware from sonys website.

Perhaps its an easy problem wich would be that the installation did not went correctly due to a download issue.

So redownload the Firmware from sonys website and try to reinstall it.

Re: Sony PSP 1000 Has gone bezerk!!!

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I removed the joystick and the fault still remains. As for re-loading the firmware, I don't know how to do that and can't find a guide anywhere, and suggestions please???

Many thanks.
