Psp turning on.then screen wiping black

Hey

So yeah i turn my PSP on gets to the main menu then after a few seconds the screen sort of wipes to black. doesnt fade to black, the black consumes the screen.

Previous night working fine, left it it charge over night. When i turned it back on, there was no sound. So i reset it, after i bit of trouble getting it started the above problem started happening. Sometimes after leaving for awhile it works normally but with no sound. once turned off back to old problem.

Living in Australia and we have had quite a few very hot days in a row lately. this could be a cause

Current firmware, unmodded.

Any help would be great

Hey mate, Welcome to TSF,

You say you reset it, did you do this by removing the battery?

If not, then I recommend you "hard reset" the console by removing the battery and powering it on again.

Also, try removing the memory card inside if you have one to see if that makes any difference.
