This is a discussion on help for identifying a genuine xbox one controller within the Console Gaming Support forums, part of the Tech Support Forum category. so I get a controller but too much worried that is it genuine or not. i am really confused so help me guys
Oh thanks for you help...but aren't you sure!!! actually i am feeling weird i mean confuse.....i want to be sure about that....so if u need more pic or something about it i can give you bruh:flowers:
Did you buy the controller in the US? If so, one thing that is missing for sure is the FCC tag. It's required on all wireless devices in the US. See here for more info. If you want to know for 100%, go here and try to register it's serial number from the sticker for a warranty check.
From digging around it looks like it's an import from United Arab Emirates (UAE). That is why it has a TRA number instead of FCC. TRA is the Arab equivalent to the US's FCC. As long as you got it in UAE or somewhere in Europe/Middle East I would think it's legit. Considering your username is Arabic, I am going to assume you did. If it is a fake, it's the highest quality fake I have ever seen.
Playing the other side here, I have to ask, why does it matter? If it works, use it. If not, return it. Not like it's a collectable, nor can hurt the console.
