BitTorrent Alternative?

I recently installed BitTorrent on my laptop so I could watch podcast shows such as the ones on Kevin Rose's Systm. It choked my system down to a crawl. I know this laptop is a turtle...1.8ghz Celeron, 512mgb of ram and running Xp Home and the ram is maxed out. Is there a lighterweight program that I can use to get these shows?
