[SOLVED] WNR2000v4 & R7000 Wireless Repeating Question

I have the Netgear Blackhawk r7000 router in my living room.

I have a 'backup' cheap WNR2000v4 that I keep in case of failures with the new router.

I am trying to extend the 2.4Ghz network from the r7000 upstairs wirelessly to the WNR2000v4 and I've come across a few issues.

1. There seems to be a way to do it that involves removing all wireless security altogether. I cannot do this, as I live in an apartment complex and have a bandwidth cap on my internet.

I have found no other way, and I don't even think I got that one working, not that I could use it.

Netgear makes an extender that looks IDENTICAL to the WNR2000v4 and all you have to do is connect to the extender, enter the wireless password, and boom it's extended.

This seems to not be the case with this router although it was advertised as such.:banghead:
