To assign IPs in a network

Hi all, could I still use 192.168.1.xxx to assign IPs for PC A and PC B in the following network?

Sure, AAMOF, all of the machines in that network have to have an IP address of 192.168.1.x in order to have access to the Internet or the other machines on the network. The switch is transparent in this scenario.

Note that if you're manually assigning IP addresses, you need to assign them outside the range of the DHCP server's IP address pool in the Aztech router.

How if I don't manually assgn IP addresses, will they crash with IP assigning themselves? Or they will just work perfectly themselves?

That's the reason you assign them outside the DHCP server pool.

If your router's DHCP server is assigning addresses in the 192.168.1.2 through 192.168.1.100 for instance, you can manually assign addresses from 192.168.1.101 through 192.168.1.254 and not conflict with automatically assigned IP addresses. For the manually assigned IP addresses, you would use a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, and your default gateway and DNS address would be 192.168.1.1 in the network depicted in your diagram.
