I have had a Linksys router (WRT610N) for about three years, with no problems. Recently, it stopped working suddenly (no connectivity) and it didn't seem like it was correlated to anything else that I had done. When I changed my TCP/IPv4 settings from a static IP to "Obtain an IP address automatically", my wired connection started to work. However, the wireless is still out and, strangely, a different wired computer on the same router network continues to not work. Both wired computers are Windows 7 machines, with (as far as I can tell) the same settings.

On top of this, I also cannot access my router settings through my browser. I've tried all the defaults (192.168.1.1 etc) and also what it says when I run ipconfig /all. So I will post my ipconfig /all results here and hope that someone can help me out. Thanks so much in advance.

Hi and welcome to TSF,

Is the above from the working computer or non working computer?

Can you post an ipconfig /all from the other wired computer.

On the bottom of the router there should be a label and it should display the routers ip.

Output from ipconfig above not good.

1. Try resetting the Linksys and then re-configure the WAN connection settings.

2. Update the ethernet card drivers to the latest from your computer manufacturer's or vendor website.

I don't see an ip # on the bottom of the router. Is it the MAC address? Also, I can't re-configure the WAN settings because I can't get to the router settings through my browser, or did you mean configure them somewhere else?

I checked and my drivers are up to date.

Hi Nexus6 the default ip address is 192.168.1.1 now the first ipconfig is that connected to a modem as it has an external ip or is it configured in the DMZ of the Linksys which would give it an external ip?

No i did not mean to configure elsewhere.
