I have high speed internet thru our cable company and I have called them and they said my modem is running with no problems, however, when I try to get WI-FI it says "No Network Access". I have unplugged the power source from my Net Gear Router and plugged it back in and still no luck. On the router the green lights are flashing on #1 & #2 and there is no activity on #3 or #4. What do I need to do to fix this access problem?
Is the modem/router one unit or are they two separate devices?
Has wireless ever worked in this setup or are you trying it for the first time?
What's the model # of the router?
Has wireless networking already be setup/configured on the router?
The lights over the ports usually indicates activity of the wired ports. Most routers have 4 wired ports. On yours #1 and #2 probably have something connected, ports #3 and #4 are probably empty or the device connected to those ports is off.
