I want to configure a modem in bridge mode.
The details are as under.
1.Computer: HP Sleekbook
2. O.S. : Windows 8.1 64bit
3. Modem : Zyxel brand , Model: P-660-t1v2
4. Router : Belkin Playmax WIFI
5. Inernet: Airtel Broadband
The laptop is not provided with an Ethernet port.
I want to configure a new modem in bridge mode.
Earlier, a Beetel old modem (220BX) was configured by a technician of the ISP. At that time, I had a desk top. The wifi router and old modem are well connected to my laptop and are working well even now.
The present modem is a new one and want to configure and keep it ready as a stand by modem. Now I do not have a desk top and the laptop is not having an Ethernet port.
I tried to enter into the settings of the modem by connecting it to the Ethernet port of the WiFi router(while it was in running mode) and typing the default IP address of the modem (192.168.1.1) in the address bar but without success.
It will be great help if somebody gives step by step procedure to --
connect the modem, configure it, etc. under the conditions explained above.
I would like to mention once again that -- my laptop has no ethernet port and my Belkin Playmax wifi router and my old modem are connected and are functioning well.
